JUDGE'S
COMMENTS:
The
bride will be talking to the groom about the overly intense
kiss.
Im
not sure anyone found this funny at the time. Then again,
maybe they did, but its funny here, the kiss, the
brides face and body language. Funny-Awkward maybe,
but funny.
So
funny! loved the dramatics- great expressions.
A
funny yet "you're in for it" look by the bride
speaks volumes about the moment. A great get by the photographer
and probably a great get by the groom, but you don't want
to be in his shoes later. A good, solid moment..

JUDGE'S
COMMENTS:
Younger
brother keeps the bride from telling. A nice, candid moment
by alert photographer.
All
about the faces. A candid moment caught honestly and it
makes you laugh. This could have been a kids being kids
winner as well.
Great
unexpected moment. great expression on the bride's face.
Little
kids say the most incredible things, but in this case,
actions spoke louder than words. What a geniunely innocent
moment! The surprise on the bride's face and the innocence
of the little guy plays well together.

JUDGE'S
COMMENTS:
What
qualifies to win in this category, that the people in
the photo be funny, or that the photo captures something
funny whether or not it was funny at the time. This
is an example of an image that crosses that boundary.
The bride clearly feels the humor in her situation,
yet it is almost a serious moment during the hectic
preparation for the wedding. The brides. expression
sandwiched between the two helping hands, one so practical
and one so unusual, make this a real chuckle.
A
great look backstage at the final preparations and hands-on
activities by all involved. And whatever you do, don't
get anything on the gown.

FOURTH
PLACE - Mark Kegans / Iowa

JUDGE'S
COMMENTS:
An
unusual moment, just a bit off and odd and humorous
for that reason. Lots of depth.
Hilarious!
instant winner- lots of narratives going on throught
the photo.
Another
wonderful catch by the photographer who's managed
to capture the lust of one couple and the reaction
to it by another while focusing on the behind-the-back,
champagne pick-me-up of a reception-goer and his date.
Nice job.

FIFTH
PLACE - Chris Moseley / Texas

JUDGE'S
COMMENTS:
Brides
keeps everything intact.
This
is just odd-funny, the brides expression, the
action in the background, the blasé expression
of the bridesmaid to the left, its just a funny
moment.

Being
ready for anything, this photographer not only captured
the fall, but the great reactions of all involved! A wonderfully
great and humorous moment that leaves the reader wondering
how the rest of the reception went.
