So funny! Great unique situation with great movement. Love the action and the opposition of the 'no-action' in the background.

Good use of surroundings and humor.

JUDGE'S COMMENTS:

Very very interesting situation going on. Don't know what's going on, why or where they are, but that makes the picture so intriguing. Like the framing of their heads and the simplicity. Very artistic and different. Instant winner.

Wonderful symmetry.

THIRD PLACE - Roger Winstead / North Carolina

5 Points and $58.50 Cash

JUDGE'S COMMENTS:

The lighting balance between that in the sky and the gazebo light is perfect. The photographer did a nice job of recognizing the scene and backing up.

A very private and romantic mood accentuated by the sky's dark color and the contrast with the bright light inside the gazebo.

FOURTH PLACE - Kurt Miller / California

Beautiful use of the veil. Simple and elegant. Great use of black and white.

A clean background combined with emotion and mystery.

JUDGE'S COMMENTS:

This atmospheric shot can be seen as a symbolic image of the couple entering a future that is a little unsure. The clouds are terrific.

Wonderful use of surroundings. A strong graphic image.

JUDGE'S COMMENTS:

Although this is obviously a posed shot with a nice colorful background, the veil blowing and the couple’s reaction looks genuine and candid.

Looks like it's straight out of a fashion magazine - looked completely different from all the entries in this category. Different angle, shape. Nice use of architecture and color.
